Sometimes it's possible to patronize 100% vegan owned and operated businesses only, but in areas where there is not a demand for plant based menus, products or services, the more we ask, the more they will be provided. Eco-tourism helps!
Each time we go in to a traditional restaurant and ask for vegan items, we are creating the demand that will drive the supply. This is our small contribution each time we eat out, but it adds up when we calculate lives, land and water saved.
Monterey Plaza's fine dining establishment, we recommend reservations 24 hours in advance so they can create your custom dish.
Seasonal ingredients are part of the charm of fine dining. Basil Carmel offers different vegan options depending when you visit.
Carmel By The Sea and nearby Carmel Valley are not known for plant based menu options but we hope that will change with veganism becoming more mainstream every day. Most locations will prepare vegan dishes on request.
Famously owned by Clint Eastwood, this isn't the first place you might think of for vegan options but they have a few! Drinks, salads, & wines.
For those looking to have a more sophisticated dining experience, or to tour the beautiful grounds of an organic vineyard. Reservations suggested.
Trailside Cafe has a beautiful patio view, beer & wine, plus a great atmosphere. Ask for vegan options.
Visit Earthbound Farms for a lovely spot to eat lunch, grab some freshly grown organic produce and take pics in their giant Adirondack chairs.
